Meet the Doctor

Justin M. Chafin, DMD

When Dr. Chafin opened Firefly Pediatric Dentistry, he did so to promote a relaxing and fun environment where kids and their parents are treated like family. He was born and raised in Florence, Alabama, and moved to Nashville to obtain his undergraduate degree at Lipscomb University. Following, he enrolled in dental school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where his interest in pediatric dentistry flourished. He completed a residency in pediatric dentistry at New York University, and then he and his wife moved back to Tennessee, where he opened his practice in Franklin.

Dr. Chafin always knew he wanted to work with children, and he couldn’t be happier with his profession as a pediatric dentist. He approaches children with kindness and a genuine desire to help establish healthy dental habits and routines that will guide them towards optimal oral health for life. Dr. Chafin is enthusiastic about accepting patients, no matter who they are, where they came from, or the level of dental care they require. He treats patients and their parents with the ultimate level of respect and concern for their well-being. Dr. Chafin bases treatment decisions on proven research, and he offers traditional as well as biologically friendly care.
